Ingredients:
- 1 bag (16-32 oz / 450-900g) frozen French fries
- 1-2 teaspoons vegetable oil or olive oil (optional)
- Salt, to taste
- Optional: garlic powder, paprika, onion powder, cayenne pepper
Instructions:
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3-5 minutes. This is key for even cooking and optimal crisping.
- If desired, toss the frozen fries in a bowl with the oil and seasonings. Ensure the fries are lightly coated, not drenched.
- Place the fries in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Avoid overcrowding; cook in batches if necessary.
- Cook for 6 minutes, then shake the basket or use tongs to flip the fries.
- Continue cooking for another 6-12 minutes, or until the fries are golden brown and crispy. Check doneness by piercing a fry with a fork. It should be soft inside and crispy outside.
- Remove the fries from the air fryer, season with salt (and any other desired seasonings), and serve immediately. Blot with paper towels if desired.
