Ingredients:

  • 1 oz Southern Comfort (70-proof)
  • 1 oz Sloe Gin
  • 1 oz Amaretto Liqueur
  • 2 oz Freshly squeezed Orange Juice
  • 0.25 oz Fresh Lemon Juice
  • 1 Maraschino cherry
  • 1 Half-moon orange slice

Instructions:

  1. Fill a highball glass with fresh ice to chill the vessel; fill a cocktail shaker two thirds full with large, solid ice cubes.
  2. Add the Southern Comfort, sloe gin, amaretto, orange juice, and lemon juice into the shaker and seal tightly.
  3. Shake vigorously for approximately 12 seconds until the shaker is frosted and the liquid is well aerated.
  4. Discard the tempering ice from the highball glass and refill with fresh clean ice.
  5. Double strain the mixture through a Hawthorne strainer into the prepared glass until the liquid looks smooth and consistent.
  6. Garnish with a maraschino cherry and an orange slice, expressing the orange oils over the glass before serving. Until you smell that bright burst of citrus, keep squeezing that peel!
