Ingredients:
- 1 oz Southern Comfort (70-proof)
- 1 oz Sloe Gin
- 1 oz Amaretto Liqueur
- 2 oz Freshly squeezed Orange Juice
- 0.25 oz Fresh Lemon Juice
- 1 Maraschino cherry
- 1 Half-moon orange slice
Instructions:
- Fill a highball glass with fresh ice to chill the vessel; fill a cocktail shaker two thirds full with large, solid ice cubes.
- Add the Southern Comfort, sloe gin, amaretto, orange juice, and lemon juice into the shaker and seal tightly.
- Shake vigorously for approximately 12 seconds until the shaker is frosted and the liquid is well aerated.
- Discard the tempering ice from the highball glass and refill with fresh clean ice.
- Double strain the mixture through a Hawthorne strainer into the prepared glass until the liquid looks smooth and consistent.
- Garnish with a maraschino cherry and an orange slice, expressing the orange oils over the glass before serving. Until you smell that bright burst of citrus, keep squeezing that peel!
