Ingredients:

  • 2 pounds (900 grams) bairdi crab legs
  • 2 pounds (900 grams) snow crab legs
  • Water for steaming (enough to fill a large pot)
  • 1/2 cup (115 grams) unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons (30 mL) fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon (15 grams) fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon (5 grams) garlic, minced
  • Salt, to taste

Instructions:

  1. Rinse crab legs under cold water. Set a large pot with water to boil and add a pinch of salt.
  2. Place the bairdi crab legs in the steamer insert once water is boiling. Steam for 6–8 minutes or until heated through. Repeat with snow crab legs.
  3. In a small saucepan, melt butter over low heat. Add lemon juice, garlic, and parsley. Mix well and season with salt. Keep warm until serving.
  4. Arrange steamed crab legs on a serving platter. Serve with lemon herb butter on the side.
