Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup (60g) all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup (30g) unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 cup (90g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine melted butter and sugar; whisk until smooth.
- Add eggs one at a time, whisking thoroughly after each addition.
- Stir in vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, sift together flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture; mix until just combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
- Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop dough onto a prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, until edges are firm, but centers look slightly underbaked.
- Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
