Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon milk (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
- In a saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- In a mixing bowl, combine melted butter, granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Whisk until well blended.
- In another bowl, mix cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder.
- Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring just until combined.
- Pour batter into the prepared muffin tin, filling each liner about 2/3 full.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Remove from the oven and let cupcakes cool in the tin for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
- In a bowl, beat together softened cream cheese and butter. Gradually add powdered sugar and vanilla, mixing until smooth. Adjust consistency with milk if necessary.
- Once cupcakes are completely cool, frost each with creamy frosting using a spatula or piping bag.
