- 1/4 cup coconut oil, melted or unsalted butter

- 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
- 1/2 cup dried fruit (optional)
- 1/4 cup dark chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease the pan or line with parchment paper for easy removal.
- In a mixing bowl, combine whole wheat flour, rolled oats, baking powder, and salt. Mix thoroughly.
- In another bowl, whisk together honey, applesauce, melted coconut oil, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined.
- Fold in any chopped nuts, dried fruit, or chocolate chips if desired.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until edges are golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let the bars cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before cutting into squares.
