  • 1/2 teaspoon (3 grams) salt
  • 1 cup (175 grams) semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup (150 grams) chopped nuts (e.g., walnuts or pecans)
  • 1/2 cup (80 grams) dried fruit (e.g., cranberries or raisins)
  • Optional: Sea salt for sprinkling

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then mix in the vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips, nuts, and dried fruits.
  7. Refrigerate the dough for 30 minutes to make it easier to handle.
  8. Scoop tablespoons of dough onto lined baking sheets, spaced adequately.
  9. Optionally sprinkle a tiny pinch of sea salt on top of each cookie.
  10. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until cookies are golden brown.
  11. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer to a cooling rack to cool completely.
