Ingredients:

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt; set aside.
  3. In a separate bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add vanilla extract and eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Stir in the chocolate chips.
  7. Chill the dough for at least 30 minutes.
  8. Use a cookie scoop or tablespoon to drop dough onto lined baking sheets, spacing them 2 inches apart.
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden brown around the edges and slightly undercooked in the center.
  10. Remove from the oven and let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
