Ingredients:

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup Skyline Chili (canned or homemade)
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 1 cup additional shredded cheddar cheese
  • Chopped green onions or fresh cilantro (optional, for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper. Beat until smooth.
  3. Spread half of the cream cheese mixture evenly in the bottom of the baking dish.
  4. Spoon the Skyline Chili over the cream cheese layer, spreading it evenly.
  5. Sprinkle 1 cup of shredded cheddar over the chili layer, then add the remaining cream cheese mixture on top.
  6. Top with the additional 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese.
  7. Place in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
  8. Allow to cool for a few minutes, garnish with green onions or cilantro, and serve warm with tortilla chips or bread.
