Ingredients:
- 1 wheel (8 oz / 225g) Brie cheese, chilled
- 1 tbsp (15ml) melted unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup (60g) pecans, finely chopped
- 3 tbsp (45ml) maple syrup
- 2 tbsp (25g) brown sugar, packed
- 1/4 tsp (1.5g) cinnamon
- 1 pinch (0.5g) salt
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 6-inch oven-safe baking dish with melted butter or line with parchment paper.
- Place the chilled brie wheel in the center of the prepared baking dish.
- In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine maple syrup, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Stir constantly for 2-3 minutes until the sugar dissolves and the mixture bubbles.
- Stir in the chopped pecans until evenly coated and aromatic.
- Spoon the pecan mixture evenly over the top of the brie, pressing down gently to adhere.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until the pecans are deep mahogany-gold and the cheese is puffed and quivering.
