Ingredients:
- 4 Tbsp Kosher Salt (Coarse Flakes)
- 2 Tbsp Black Pepper, freshly ground
- 3 Tbsp Smoked Paprika (Spanish Pimentón)
- 2 Tbsp Garlic Powder
- 2 Tbsp Dried Thyme
- 1 Tbsp Onion Powder
- 2 Tbsp Light Brown Sugar, packed
- 1 Tbsp Dried Rosemary, finely crushed
- 1 Tbsp Dry Mustard Powder
- 1 tsp Cayenne Pepper (optional)
Instructions:
- Gather and measure all specified spices, herbs, salt, pepper, and sugar into a medium mixing bowl.
- If using whole dried rosemary leaves, crush them finely using a mortar and pestle or by rubbing them between your fingers to release the aroma.
- Add all measured ingredients—salt, pepper, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, rosemary, brown sugar, dry mustard powder, and cayenne (if using)—into the mixing bowl.
- Whisk the mixture vigorously for 1-2 minutes until any brown sugar lumps are broken up and all ingredients are thoroughly and evenly distributed. The color of the Turkey Rub should be uniform.
- Transfer the finished rub to an airtight jar or container for storage. Store in a cool, dark pantry.
