Ingredients:
- 3/4 oz Blended Scotch Whisky
- 3/4 oz Sweet Red Vermouth
- 3/4 oz Cherry Heering Liqueur
- 3/4 oz Freshly Squeezed Orange Juice
- 1 wide strip of Orange Zest
- 1 Luxardo Maraschino Cherry
Instructions:
- Place your coupe glass in the freezer for 5 minutes or fill it with ice and water while you prepare the drink to ensure it is properly chilled.
- In a cocktail shaker, pour the Scotch, sweet vermouth, cherry liqueur, and fresh orange juice.
- Fill the shaker 3/4 full with large, solid ice cubes. Seal tightly and shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds until the outside of the shaker is frost-bitten.
- Discard the ice from your chilled glass. Strain the mixture through a Hawthorne strainer and a fine-mesh strainer into the glass for a silky texture.
- Express the oils from the orange zest over the drink, garnish with the peel and a maraschino cherry.
