Ingredients:

  • 3/4 oz Blended Scotch Whisky
  • 3/4 oz Sweet Red Vermouth
  • 3/4 oz Cherry Heering Liqueur
  • 3/4 oz Freshly Squeezed Orange Juice
  • 1 wide strip of Orange Zest
  • 1 Luxardo Maraschino Cherry

Instructions:

  1. Place your coupe glass in the freezer for 5 minutes or fill it with ice and water while you prepare the drink to ensure it is properly chilled.
  2. In a cocktail shaker, pour the Scotch, sweet vermouth, cherry liqueur, and fresh orange juice.
  3. Fill the shaker 3/4 full with large, solid ice cubes. Seal tightly and shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds until the outside of the shaker is frost-bitten.
  4. Discard the ice from your chilled glass. Strain the mixture through a Hawthorne strainer and a fine-mesh strainer into the glass for a silky texture.
  5. Express the oils from the orange zest over the drink, garnish with the peel and a maraschino cherry.
