Ingredients:
- 45ml (1.5 oz) London Dry Gin
- 15ml (0.5 oz) Grand Marnier
- 15ml (0.5 oz) Freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 5ml (1 tsp) Simple syrup (1:1 ratio)
- 1 large Fresh egg white
- 4g (1 tsp) Granulated sugar for the rim
- 1 Lemon wedge for garnish
Instructions:
- Prepare the glassware by running a lemon wedge around half the rim of a chilled coupe glass. Dip the moistened edge into a shallow plate of granulated sugar and set aside.
- Perform a 'Dry Shake' by adding the gin, Grand Marnier, lemon juice, simple syrup, and egg white into a cocktail shaker without ice. Shake vigorously for 15 seconds to emulsify the egg white proteins.
- Add large, solid ice cubes to the shaker. Shake again for another 15 seconds until the shaker is frost-cold.
- Double-strain the mixture through a Hawthorne strainer and a fine-mesh sieve into the prepared coupe glass to ensure a smooth, uniform foam.
- Garnish with a thin lemon twist and serve immediately.
