Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (240 ml) boiling water
  • 1 (3 oz) package of orange-flavored gelatin (jello)
  • 1 cup (240 ml) cold water
  • 1 cup (150 g) diced hot dogs (preferably turkey or beef)
  • 1 cup (150 g) diced celery
  • 1/2 cup (75 g) diced bell pepper (red or green)
  • 1/2 cup (75 g) finely chopped onion (optional)
  • 1/2 cup (120 g) mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon (5 g) Dijon mustard
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, dissolve the gelatin in 1 cup of boiling water. Stir until completely dissolved, then add 1 cup of cold water.
  2. In another bowl, add diced hot dogs, celery, bell pepper, and onion. Pour the cooled gelatin mixture over the hot dog mixture and stir well.
  3. Pour the combined mixture into a 9-inch square dish or mold, ensuring even distribution.
  4. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 3-4 hours, or until set.
  5. In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper to make the dressing.
  6. Once set, cut the salad into squares or scoop from the mold, and serve with dressing on the side.
