Ingredients:

  • 6 fluid ounces Irish Whiskey (e.g., Jameson)
  • 4 fluid ounces Peach Schnapps
  • 4 fluid ounces Sour Mix or fresh Lemonade
  • 1 1/2 cups Ice (for shaking)
  • 4 small Lemon Wedges (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Chill Glasses: Place the four shot glasses in the freezer for at least 10 minutes prior to mixing. Temperature is everything here.
  2. Pre-Measure Ingredients: Measure the Irish whiskey, peach schnapps, and sour mix using a jigger.
  3. Load the Shaker: Add the measured liquid ingredients into the cocktail shaker tin.
  4. Add Ice: Fill the shaker 2/3 full with fresh, solid ice cubes. Using plenty of ice ensures rapid chilling and proper, controlled dilution.
  5. Execute the Hard Shake: Seal the shaker tightly and shake vigorously for 15–20 seconds. You should feel the shaker tin become extremely cold and frost over—this indicates the perfect temperature has been reached.
  6. Strain: Remove the shaker lid/cap and place the strainer over the tin. Carefully and quickly strain the liquid mixture evenly into the four chilled shot glasses.
  7. Garnish and Serve: Garnish each shot with a small lemon wedge on the rim. Instruct the consumer to give the shot a quick squeeze of fresh lemon juice before consuming for a final burst of tartness. Serve immediately.
