Ingredients:

  • 2 oz Blended Scotch Whisky
  • 0.5 oz Drambuie
  • 1 dash Angostura bitters
  • 1 large 2-inch clear ice cube
  • 1 wide swath of lemon peel

Instructions:

  1. Place your rocks glass in the freezer for 10 minutes prior to building the drink to ensure the glass is properly chilled.
  2. Fill a separate mixing glass 3/4 full with cracked ice.
  3. Pour the Scotch and Drambuie into the mixing glass over the ice. Add an optional dash of Angostura bitters if desired.
  4. Using a bar spoon, stir the mixture gently for exactly 20-25 revolutions to achieve sub-zero temperature and ideal dilution.
  5. Place one large 2-inch clear ice cube into the chilled rocks glass.
  6. Strain the liquid through a Julep strainer into the rocks glass over the fresh ice.
  7. Express the oils from a wide lemon peel over the surface of the drink and drop it in as a garnish.
