Ingredients:
- 4 fl oz Quality Prepared Egg Nog (chilled)
- 5 fl oz Bourbon Whiskey, Aged Rum, or Brandy
- 1/4 tsp Vanilla Extract (optional)
- 1/2 fl oz Simple Syrup or Maple Syrup (optional)
- Fresh Whole Nutmeg (for grating)
- 1 Cinnamon Stick (optional, for garnish)
Instructions:
- Chill the serving glass by placing it in the freezer or filling it with ice water while preparing the cocktail.
- Add the chilled Egg Nog, chosen spirit (Bourbon, Rum, or Brandy), vanilla extract, and optional simple syrup into the cocktail shaker.
- Fill the shaker 3/4 full with large, quality ice cubes.
- Shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds until the shaker is thoroughly frosted for a lighter, frothier texture, or gently stir for 30 seconds for a silkier texture.
- Discard the chilling ice water from the serving glass. Double-strain the cocktail into the chilled glass.
- Grate a generous amount of fresh nutmeg over the top of the drink immediately before serving. Add a cinnamon stick for visual appeal, if desired.
