Ingredients:
- 1 cup frozen strawberries (140g)
- 1 large ripe banana (preferably frozen)
- 1/2 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy, 120ml)
- 1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt (60g)
- 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup (optional, 5ml)
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract (1.25ml)
Instructions:
- Measure all solid ingredients (frozen strawberries, banana) and place them into the blender jar first.
- Pour in the milk, add the Greek yogurt, vanilla extract, and sweetener (if using) on top of the solids.
- Secure the lid tightly. Start blending on a low setting for about 10 seconds to break up the larger frozen chunks.
- Increase the blender speed to high. Blend continuously until the mixture is completely smooth and uniform, stopping only to scrape down the sides with a spatula if necessary.
- Check the consistency. If too thick, add liquid 1 tablespoon at a time. If too thin, add 3-4 extra frozen strawberries or a few ice cubes and blend again.
- Pour into a glass and serve immediately while perfectly chilled.
