Ingredients:

  • 1 cup frozen strawberries (140g)
  • 1 large ripe banana (preferably frozen)
  • 1/2 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy, 120ml)
  • 1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt (60g)
  • 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup (optional, 5ml)
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract (1.25ml)

Instructions:

  1. Measure all solid ingredients (frozen strawberries, banana) and place them into the blender jar first.
  2. Pour in the milk, add the Greek yogurt, vanilla extract, and sweetener (if using) on top of the solids.
  3. Secure the lid tightly. Start blending on a low setting for about 10 seconds to break up the larger frozen chunks.
  4. Increase the blender speed to high. Blend continuously until the mixture is completely smooth and uniform, stopping only to scrape down the sides with a spatula if necessary.
  5. Check the consistency. If too thick, add liquid 1 tablespoon at a time. If too thin, add 3-4 extra frozen strawberries or a few ice cubes and blend again.
  6. Pour into a glass and serve immediately while perfectly chilled.
