Ingredients:

  • 2 cups bone broth (beef or chicken)
  • 2 cups whole milk or a dairy-free alternative
  • 4 oz high-quality dark chocolate (70% cocoa or higher), chopped
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup or honey (adjust to taste)
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of sea salt
  • Whipped cream or coconut cream (optional)
  • Cocoa powder or cinnamon (optional)

Instructions:

  1. In a medium saucepan, heat the bone broth over medium heat until warmed through.
  2. In a separate saucepan, heat the whole milk (or dairy-free alternative) until just steaming.
  3. Remove the milk from heat and add the chopped dark chocolate.
  4. Whisk the milk and chocolate until smooth and fully combined.
  5. Pour the warmed bone broth into the chocolate mixture.
  6. Add maple syrup (or honey), vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt to the mixture.
  7. Whisk until all ingredients are incorporated and heated to your desired temperature.
  8. Serve hot, garnished with whipped cream and a sprinkle of cocoa or cinnamon if desired.
