Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 hamburger buns (preferably whole grain)
- Optional: sliced pickles, shredded cheese, or chopped green onions for garnish
Instructions:
- Chop the onion and mince the garlic.
- In a large skillet over medium heat
- Stir in the chopped onion and minced garlic. Sauté for an additional 2 minutes until the onion is translucent.
- Add ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, smoked paprika, and season with salt and pepper. Stir well to combine.
- Reduce the heat and let the mixture simmer for 3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Spoon the turkey mixture onto the bottom half of each bun. Add optional toppings. Close the sandwiches and serve hot.
