Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (240 ml) shelf stable lactose free milk
  • 1 cup (240 ml) coconut milk (canned or carton)
  • 1 tablespoon almond extract
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup (or to taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Toasted coconut flakes (optional)
  • Extra cinnamon (for dusting)

Instructions:

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine shelf stable lactose free milk and coconut milk.
  2. Heat over medium-low until steaming but not boiling.
  3. Add almond extract, maple syrup, and ground cinnamon and whisk together.
  4. Use a whisk or milk frother to create a frothy texture (optional).
  5. Pour the mixture into two mugs.
  6. Sprinkle with toasted coconut flakes and extra cinnamon, if desired.
