Ingredients:
- 8 oz raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1/4 cup green onions, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly grated ginger
- 4 slices of white bread
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour, for dusting
- 1 cup vegetable oil, for frying
Instructions:
- In a food processor, add shrimp and pulse until finely chopped.
- Mix in green onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger until well combined.
- Spread the shrimp mixture evenly over each slice of bread.
- Chill assembled toasts in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to firm up.
- Set up a dredging station with flour in one bowl and beaten egg in another.
- Dip each toast in flour, then egg, coating evenly.
- Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Fry toasts for 2-3 minutes per side, or until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
- Serve warm with your choice of dipping sauce.
