Ingredients:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sesame seeds
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- Additional sesame seeds (for sprinkling)
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sesame seeds, salt, and baking powder.
- Gradually stir in the water and oil until a dough forms.
- Cover the dough with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- On a lightly floured surface, roll the dough out to a 1/4-inch thickness.
- Using a knife or pizza cutter, cut the dough into rectangular sticks.
- Place sticks on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Brush tops with beaten egg and sprinkle additional sesame seeds on top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and crisp.
- Remove from the oven and allow to cool completely on the baking sheet before serving.
