Ingredients:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sesame seeds
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Additional sesame seeds (for sprinkling)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sesame seeds, salt, and baking powder.
  3. Gradually stir in the water and oil until a dough forms.
  4. Cover the dough with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  5. On a lightly floured surface, roll the dough out to a 1/4-inch thickness.
  6. Using a knife or pizza cutter, cut the dough into rectangular sticks.
  7. Place sticks on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Brush tops with beaten egg and sprinkle additional sesame seeds on top.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and crisp.
  9. Remove from the oven and allow to cool completely on the baking sheet before serving.
