Ingredients:

  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 large loaf of French or Italian bread (about 16 ounces)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine softened butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, and salt. Mix until smooth and well blended.
  3. Slice the loaf in half lengthwise.
  4. Generously spread the garlic butter mixture over the cut sides of the bread.
  5. Distribute the shredded mozzarella evenly over the buttered bread, followed by a sprinkle of Parmesan.
  6. Wrap the bread halves loosely in tinfoil and place on a baking sheet. Bake for 10 minutes.
  7. Open the foil and broil for an additional 2–3 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
  8. Remove from the oven and let cool for a minute before cutting into pieces.
