Ingredients:
- 1 bottle (750 ml) of red wine (Merlot or Shiraz)
- 1 cup (240 ml) blackberry brandy
- 1/2 cup (100 g) granulated sugar
- 1 cup (150 g) fresh blackberries, plus extra for garnish
- 1 orange, thinly sliced
- 1 lemon, thinly sliced
- 2 cups (480 ml) club soda or lemon-lime soda
- Ice cubes, to serve
Instructions:
- Wash the blackberries and slice the orange and lemon.
- In a pitcher, combine red wine, blackberry brandy, and sugar. Stir until sugar is dissolved.
- Gently add the blackberries, orange slices, and lemon slices to the wine mixture.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
- Fill glasses with ice. Pour the chilled sangria over ice and top with club soda or lemon-lime soda.
- Add fresh blackberries and a slice of orange or lemon to each glass for garnish.
