Ingredients:
- 1 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tbsp smoked paprika
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp salt
- 4 bone-in chicken thighs (approximately 1.5 lb)
- 4 bone-in chicken drumsticks (approximately 1 lb)
- 1 cup low-sugar barbecue sauce
- 2 tbsp honey (optional)
Instructions:
- Combine apple cider vinegar, olive oil, brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt in a large mixing bowl. Whisk until well blended.
- Place chicken thighs and drumsticks in a marinade bag or container. Pour the marinade over the chicken, seal, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or up to overnight.
- Prepare the grill for medium-high heat (about 375°F / 190°C).
- Remove chicken from marinade and discard leftover marinade. Place chicken on the grill, skin-side down. Cook for 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway through, until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- In the last 5 minutes of grilling, brush chicken with barbecue sauce and continue cooking until sauce caramelizes and chicken is nicely glazed.
- Let chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy juicy, flavorful Delmarva BBQ Chicken!
