Ingredients:

  • 2 cups (240g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup (240ml) warm water (around 110°F or 43°C)
  • 1 tablespoon (12g) sugar
  • 1 teaspoon (5g) salt
  • 2 tablespoons (30ml) olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon (3g) instant yeast (or bread machine yeast)

Instructions:

  1. Ensure your bread maker is clean and assembled correctly.
  2. Pour warm water into the bread maker pan. Sprinkle sugar and salt on top of the water. Add olive oil. Carefully add the flour, ensuring it covers the water. Make a small indentation in the flour and add the yeast.
  3. Close the lid and select the 'Dough' setting on your bread maker. Start the machine. Allow it to knead and rise until the cycle is completed (usually about 1 hour).
  4. The dough should be smooth and elastic. If it seems sticky, add a small amount of flour; if it's too dry, add a bit of water.
  5. Transfer the dough to a floured surface. Divide it into two equal pieces and shape them into discs.
  6. Cover with a damp cloth and let it rest for 10-15 minutes before rolling out.
  7. While the dough rests, preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).
  8. Roll out the dough to your desired thickness, top with your favorite sauce and toppings, and bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
