Ingredients:

  • 1.5 oz Amaretto liqueur
  • 1.5 oz Coffee liqueur
  • 2 oz Heavy cream
  • 1 tsp Toasted almond slivers, finely crushed
  • 1 tbsp Caramel syrup
  • 1 pinch grated nutmeg

Instructions:

  1. Place an Old Fashioned or rocks glass in the freezer for 5 minutes to chill. Dip the rim of the chilled glass into a shallow dish of caramel syrup, then into the crushed toasted almonds.
  2. Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with large, solid ice cubes. Pour in the amaretto, coffee liqueur, and heavy cream.
  3. Seal the shaker tightly and shake vigorously for 15–20 seconds until the exterior feels frosty and the contents are well-aerated.
  4. Place fresh ice cubes in the rimmed glass. Use a Hawthorne strainer to pour the liquid over the fresh ice. Finish with a light dusting of grated nutmeg.
