Ingredients:
- 1 cup (200g) Granulated Sugar
- 1 tablespoon (8g) Cornstarch (or Tapioca Starch, optional – prevents clumping)
Instructions:
- Ensure your blender or food processor is clean and completely dry. Moisture is the enemy of powdered sugar, creating clumps.
- Add the granulated sugar and cornstarch (if using) to the blender or food processor.
- Process on high speed until the sugar is transformed into a fine, powdery consistency. This usually takes 1-2 minutes, depending on your machine. Watch closely – you don’t want to over-process and create heat.
- Stop the machine and check the texture. It should be soft and silky. If it’s still grainy, continue processing in short bursts.
- Sift the powdered sugar through a fine-mesh sieve or sifter to remove any lumps and ensure a uniform texture.
- Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place.
