Ingredients:
- 4 Chicken legs (about 6-8 oz/ 170-225g each), skin on
- 2 tablespoons Olive oil (30ml)
- 1 teaspoon Garlic powder (5ml)
- 1 teaspoon Onion powder (5ml)
- 1 teaspoon Smoked paprika (5ml)
- 1/2 teaspoon Dried thyme (2.5ml)
- 1/2 teaspoon Dried rosemary (2.5ml), crushed
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt (2.5ml), or to taste
- 1/4 teaspoon Black pepper (1.25ml), or to taste
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with foil (optional).
- Pat the chicken legs dry with paper towels. This is key for crispy skin!
- In a large bowl, whisk together olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, thyme, rosemary, salt, and pepper.
- Add chicken legs to the bowl and toss until evenly coated with the seasoning mixture. Make sure every nook and cranny is covered.
- Place the seasoned chicken legs on the prepared baking sheet, making sure they are not overcrowded.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the skin is golden brown and crispy, and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) when tested with an instant-read thermometer inserted into the thickest part of the leg, avoiding the bone.
- Remove from the oven and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
