Ingredients:
- 1 cup (240 ml) heavy cream
- 4 ounces (115 g) Gorgonzola cheese, crumbled
- 2 tablespoons (30 g) unsalted butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves (or ½ teaspoon dried thyme)
- Salt to taste
- Freshly ground black pepper to taste
Instructions:
- In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the unsalted butter.
- Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute. Avoid browning it.
- Slowly pour in the heavy cream, whisking continuously.
- Stir in the crumbled Gorgonzola cheese and thyme.
- Allow the sauce to simmer gently, whisking frequently until the cheese has melted and the sauce thickens slightly, about 5-7 minutes.
- Taste and season with salt and freshly ground black pepper as needed.
- Remove from heat and serve warm over your choice of dish.
