- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (1.5 lbs / 680 g)
- 2 tablespoons chipotle chili powder (30 g)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil (30 ml)
- 1 tablespoon lime juice (15 ml)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder (5 g)
- 1 teaspoon cumin (5 g)
- 1 teaspoon salt (5 g)
- ½ teaspoon black pepper (2 g)
- Cooking spray or additional olive oil for greasing the grill
- Fresh cilantro, chopped (optional)
- Lime wedges (optional)
Instructions:
- In a mixing bowl, combine chipotle chili powder, olive oil, lime juice, garlic powder, cumin, salt, and black pepper.
- Add chicken breasts to the marinade, ensuring they are well-coated. Let them marinate for at least 10 minutes.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat and lightly grease with cooking spray or olive oil.
- Place marinated chicken breasts on the hot grill and grill for 6-7 minutes per side or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
- Remove chicken from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
- Serve sliced chicken with fresh cilantro and lime wedges if desired.
