Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar for filling
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon for filling
  • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour for streusel topping
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar, packed for streusel topping
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted for streusel topping
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon for streusel topping

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease the cake pan with butter or line with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs, vanilla extract, and milk, mixing until combined. Gradually add flour, baking powder, and salt, mixing just until moistened.
  3. In a small bowl, combine sugar and cinnamon for the filling.
  4. Pour half of the batter into the prepared pan. Sprinkle half of the cinnamon-sugar filling over the batter. Pour the remaining batter over the filling and top with the rest of the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix together flour, brown sugar, melted butter, and cinnamon to create a crumbly topping. Sprinkle over the top.
  6. Bake for 35-40 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  7. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack. Serve warm or at room temperature.
