Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons dried basil (15 ml)
  • 2 tablespoons dried oregano (15 ml)
  • 1 tablespoon dried rosemary, crushed (7.5 ml)
  • 1 tablespoon dried thyme (7.5 ml)
  • 1 tablespoon dried marjoram (7.5 ml)
  • 1 teaspoon dried garlic powder (5 ml)
  • 1 teaspoon dried onion powder (5 ml)
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried sage (2.5ml)
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, adjust to taste) (1.25 ml)

Instructions:

  1. In a small mixing bowl, combine all the dried herbs and spices.
  2. Stir well to ensure all ingredients are evenly distributed.
  3. Taste the seasoning and adjust the amounts of individual herbs or spices to your preference. Add more red pepper flakes for a spicier blend.
  4. Transfer the Italian seasoning to an airtight container or jar. Store in a cool, dark place for up to 6 months.
