Ingredients:
- 4 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 2 tbsp granulated sugar
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1 pinch salt
- 3 tbsp whole milk
- 1.5 tbsp melted butter
- 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1 tsp sprinkles or chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions:
- In a 12oz microwave-safe mug, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt until no clumps remain.
- Add the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract to the mug. Stir with a fork or small whisk until the batter is smooth and no dry streaks remain. Fold in optional sprinkles or chocolate chips if using.
- Place the mug in the center of the microwave and cook on high power for 1 minute and 30 seconds until the top is set and matte.
- Check the center with a toothpick; it should come out clean with maybe one or two crumbs.
- Let the mug sit undisturbed for 1 minute. Note: This carryover cooking finishes the center.
- Serve immediately while warm until the first bite melts on your tongue.
