Ingredients:
- 2 cups water
- 2 bags of berry-flavored herbal tea (e.g., hibiscus or berry blend)
- 1 cup mixed berries (fresh or frozen: strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
- 1 medium orange (juiced)
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon honey (or to taste)
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds
- 1 tablespoon unsweetened coconut flakes
- 1 tablespoon flaxseed meal
- Fresh mint leaves (optional)
- Slices of citrus (orange or lemon, optional)
- Additional berries for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
- In a small saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a boil.
- Once boiling, add the tea bags and remove from heat. Let steep for 5 minutes.
- After steeping, discard the tea bags. Allow the tea to cool slightly.
- In a blender, combine mixed berries, freshly squeezed orange juice, lemon juice, honey, and vanilla extract. Blend until smooth.
- In a large pitcher or bowl, combine the brewed tea with the blended fruit mixture. Stir well to combine.
- Stir in chia seeds, coconut flakes, and flaxseed meal. Ensure they are evenly distributed throughout the mixture.
- Refrigerate for about 10 minutes to chill. Serve over ice in tall glasses.
- Add optional toppings such as mint leaves, citrus slices, and additional berries for garnish.
