- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon white truffle oil
- Salt to taste
- Freshly ground black pepper to taste
- Freshly grated Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese (optional)
- Shaved fresh white truffle (for garnish, optional)
Instructions:
- In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter and olive oil together.
- Add minced garlic, cooking until fragrant (about 1 minute). Stir constantly to avoid burning.
- Pour in heavy cream, stirring to combine. Bring to a gentle simmer.
- Add white truffle oil, mixing well. Adjust heat to maintain a gentle simmer.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste. Allow to simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally until thickened.
- Remove from heat. If desired, stir in Parmigiano-Reggiano. Serve immediately over your favorite dish, garnished with shaved truffle.
