Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon white truffle oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • Freshly grated Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese (optional)
  • Shaved fresh white truffle (for garnish, optional)

Instructions:

  1. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter and olive oil together.
  2. Add minced garlic, cooking until fragrant (about 1 minute). Stir constantly to avoid burning.
  3. Pour in heavy cream, stirring to combine. Bring to a gentle simmer.
  4. Add white truffle oil, mixing well. Adjust heat to maintain a gentle simmer.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Allow to simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally until thickened.
  6. Remove from heat. If desired, stir in Parmigiano-Reggiano. Serve immediately over your favorite dish, garnished with shaved truffle.
