Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup (120 ml) fresh lemon juice (about 2-3 lemons)
- 1/2 cup (120 ml) fresh lime juice (about 4-5 limes)
- 3/4 cup (150 g) granulated sugar (or to taste)
- 4 cups (960 ml) sparkling water or club soda
- Lemon slices, for garnish (optional)
- Lime slices, for garnish (optional)
- Fresh mint leaves (optional)
Instructions:
- Using a citrus juicer, extract the juice from the lemons and limes. Strain the juice through a fine-mesh sieve to remove seeds and pulp.
- In a mixing pitcher, combine the lemon juice, lime juice, and granulated sugar. Stir until the sugar fully dissolves.
- Slowly add the sparkling water to the citrus mixture. Watch for bubbles to form, indicating carbonation.
- Taste the soda and adjust the sweetness if desired by adding more sugar.
- Pour the soda into serving glasses over ice and garnish with lemon and lime slices or mint leaves.
