Ingredients:

  • 3 cups cornflakes
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows
  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • ½ cup chopped nuts (optional)
  • ¼ cup dried fruit (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Line the baking dish with parchment paper for easy removal (optional).
  2. In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat.
  3. Once melted, add the chocolate chips and stir until smooth.
  4. Remove the saucepan from heat and add the mini marshmallows. Stir until marshmallows are fully coated and just beginning to melt.
  5. In a large mixing bowl, add the cornflakes. Pour the melted mixture over the cornflakes and gently fold to combine until evenly coated.
  6. If desired, fold in chopped nuts and dried fruit for added flavor and texture.
  7. Press the mixture into the prepared baking dish using a rubber spatula to create an even layer.
  8. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the candy to set.
  9. Once set, remove from the dish and cut into squares. Serve immediately or store in an airtight container.
