Ingredients:
- 3 cups cornflakes
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup mini marshmallows
- ½ cup unsalted butter
- ½ cup chopped nuts (optional)
- ¼ cup dried fruit (optional)
Instructions:
- Line the baking dish with parchment paper for easy removal (optional).
- In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat.
- Once melted, add the chocolate chips and stir until smooth.
- Remove the saucepan from heat and add the mini marshmallows. Stir until marshmallows are fully coated and just beginning to melt.
- In a large mixing bowl, add the cornflakes. Pour the melted mixture over the cornflakes and gently fold to combine until evenly coated.
- If desired, fold in chopped nuts and dried fruit for added flavor and texture.
- Press the mixture into the prepared baking dish using a rubber spatula to create an even layer.
- Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the candy to set.
- Once set, remove from the dish and cut into squares. Serve immediately or store in an airtight container.
