Ingredients:

  • 1 bottle (750 ml) of dry red wine (e.g., Merlot or Cabernet Sauvignon)
  • 1 cup (240 ml) blackberry liqueur (such as crème de mûre)
  • 1 cup (240 ml) orange juice (freshly squeezed preferred)
  • 1 cup (240 ml) soda water (for a lively fizz)
  • 1 cup (150 g) fresh blackberries
  • 1 orange, thinly sliced
  • 1 lemon, thinly sliced
  • 1 lime, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons (30 g) sugar (optional, to taste)

Instructions:

  1. Wash fresh blackberries and slice the orange, lemon, and lime into thin rounds.
  2. In a large pitcher, combine the red wine, blackberry liqueur, and orange juice.
  3. Add sugar to the pitcher if you prefer a sweeter sangria. Stir until dissolved.
  4. Gently fold in the sliced citrus fruits and fresh blackberries.
  5. Refrigerate the sangria for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  6. Just before serving, add soda water for fizz. Serve poured over ice in glasses, garnished with extra berries or citrus slices.
