Ingredients:

  • 6 ounces Chilled Hard Apple Cider (standard medium-dry or sweet)
  • 6 ounces Chilled Pale Lager or Bitter (Pilsner or standard lager)

Instructions:

  1. Thoroughly chill a pint glass or tall beverage glass. Ensure both the cider and the lager are very cold.
  2. Pour the 6 ounces of chilled hard apple cider directly into the bottom of the glass. The cider forms the denser, lower layer.
  3. To achieve the layered effect, take a clean spoon and invert it (backside up) directly over the cider, touching the surface. Slowly pour the 6 ounces of chilled pale lager gently over the back of the spoon.
  4. Continue pouring the lager slowly until the layer is fully formed, resulting in a distinct split between the two beverages. Serve immediately.
