Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • 4 salmon fillets (about 6 ounces each)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Lemon wedges and fresh herbs for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine all seasoning ingredients.
  2. Whisk until well blended. Set aside.
  3. Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels.
  4. Brush fillets with olive oil on both sides.
  5. Generously sprinkle the potlatch seasoning over the salmon fillets, coating evenly.
  6. Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat for about 5 minutes.
  7. Place seasoned salmon on the grill, skin-side down.
  8. Grill for 4-6 minutes, then carefully flip and grill for an additional 4-6 minutes until salmon is opaque and flakes easily.
  9. Remove salmon from the grill. Garnish with lemon wedges and fresh herbs, if desired. Enjoy!
