Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (240 ml) freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 4-6 medium lemons)
  • 3 cups (720 ml) cold water
  • 1/2 cup (100 g) granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) rosewater
  • Ice cubes, to serve
  • Fresh mint leaves, for garnish (optional)
  • Lemon slices, for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Squeeze the fresh lemons to yield 1 cup of juice. Strain if necessary to remove seeds.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine 1/2 cup sugar with 1 cup hot water. Stir until fully dissolved.
  3. In a large pitcher, mix the dissolved sugar syrup, lemon juice, 3 cups cold water, and 2 tablespoons rosewater.
  4. Taste the lemonade and adjust sweetness or rose flavor as desired by adding more sugar or rosewater.
  5. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  6. Fill glasses with ice, pour the rose lemonade over, and garnish with mint leaves and lemon slices if desired.
