Ingredients:

  • 8 oz (225 g) ahi tuna steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) soy sauce (low sodium recommended)
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon (5 g) sriracha (adjust to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon (5 g) grated ginger
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) sesame seeds
  • 2 green onions, chopped (scallions)

Instructions:

  1. Cut the ahi tuna steak into 1-inch cubes.
  2. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, sesame oil, sriracha, and grated ginger. Mix well.
  3. Add the tuna cubes to the marinade. Let them soak for 5 minutes (optional for extra flavor).
  4. Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat.
  5. Once hot, add the marinated tuna cubes. Sear for about 1 minute on each side, or until golden brown on the outside but still rare inside.
  6. Remove from heat, sprinkle with sesame seeds and chopped green onions. Serve immediately.
