Ingredients:

  • 1 lb (450g) chicken wings
  • 2 tablespoons (30ml) olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons (30ml) fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon (15g) lemon zest
  • 1 tablespoon (15g) black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon (5g) garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon (5g) salt
  • 1 stick (115g) unsalted butter
  • 1-2 tablespoons (15-30ml) hot sauce
  • Additional lemon zest (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine olive oil, lemon juice, lemon zest, black pepper, garlic powder, and salt.
  2. Add the chicken wings, ensuring they are fully coated. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) or air fryer to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  4. Arrange the marinated wings in a single layer on the baking sheet or air fryer basket.
  5. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown and crispy or air fry for 25-30 minutes.
  6. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter and stir in hot sauce.
  7. In a large bowl, toss the baked wings with the hot sauce until well coated.
  8. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauces.
