Ingredients:
- 1 lb (450g) chicken wings
- 2 tablespoons (30ml) olive oil
- 2 tablespoons (30ml) fresh lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon (15g) lemon zest
- 1 tablespoon (15g) black pepper
- 1 teaspoon (5g) garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon (5g) salt
- 1 stick (115g) unsalted butter
- 1-2 tablespoons (15-30ml) hot sauce
- Additional lemon zest (for garnish)
Instructions:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine olive oil, lemon juice, lemon zest, black pepper, garlic powder, and salt.
- Add the chicken wings, ensuring they are fully coated. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) or air fryer to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Arrange the marinated wings in a single layer on the baking sheet or air fryer basket.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown and crispy or air fry for 25-30 minutes.
- In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter and stir in hot sauce.
- In a large bowl, toss the baked wings with the hot sauce until well coated.
- Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauces.
