Ingredients:

  • 1 cup Unsweetened Almond Milk
  • 2 cups Fresh Baby Spinach, packed tightly
  • ½ inch chunk Fresh Ginger, peeled
  • 1 teaspoon Fresh Lemon Juice
  • 1 medium Frozen Ripe Banana, sliced
  • ½ cup Frozen Mango Chunks
  • 1 tablespoon Chia Seeds
  • 1 scoop Plant-Based Protein Powder (Vanilla or unflavored)
  • 1 tablespoon Nut Butter (Almond or Peanut)
  • 3-4 Ice Cubes (optional, for extra thickness)

Instructions:

  1. Measure the liquid base (almond milk) and pour it into the blender jug first. Add the fresh lemon juice and peeled ginger chunk to the liquid.
  2. Add the tightly packed spinach directly on top of the liquid. Sprinkle in the chia seeds and add the protein powder and nut butter.
  3. Layer the frozen banana slices and frozen mango chunks into the jug last. Add the optional ice cubes now if using.
  4. Secure the lid firmly. Start blending on the lowest setting for 10 seconds, then increase the speed gradually to high and blend continuously for 45 to 90 seconds, until completely smooth. If the smoothie is too thick, add liquid one tablespoon at a time until the desired consistency is reached.
  5. Pour the finished Emerald Elixir into a tall glass and serve immediately.
