Ingredients:
- 1 pound (450 g) boudin sausage (fresh or smoked)
- 2 cups (500 ml) water or broth (for steaming)
- 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning (optional)
Instructions:
- If steaming, fill a pot with water/broth and bring it to a simmer. If grilling, preheat the grill to medium heat.
- Place boudin in the steamer basket above the simmering water. Cover with a lid and steam for about 15-20 minutes or until heated through (internal temperature should reach 160°F / 70°C).
- Alternatively, place boudin sausages directly on the grill. Grill for 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally until browned and heated through.
- Once cooked, let boudin rest for 5 minutes. Slice and serve with your favorite sides or condiments.
