Ingredients:
- 1 pound (450g) pre-made pizza dough
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1 cup (240ml) marinara sauce
- 2 cups (225g) shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup (75g) pepperoni slices, quartered
- ¼ cup (40g) chopped green bell pepper
- ¼ cup (40g) chopped red onion
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line baking sheet with parchment paper. Roll out pizza dough on a lightly floured surface.
- Using a bowl or large cookie cutter, cut out 12 circles of dough.
- Place 6 dough circles on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the edges with olive oil.
- In a mixing bowl, combine marinara sauce, mozzarella, pepperoni, green pepper, and red onion. Season with salt and pepper. Spoon a generous amount of filling onto each dough circle.
- Top with the remaining dough circles. Crimp the edges with a fork to seal.
- Brush the tops of the pockets with egg wash. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown. Let cool slightly before serving.
