Ingredients:

  • 2 cups (200g) shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup (100g) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup (240ml) evaporated milk
  • 1 can (4 oz / 113g) diced green chilies
  • 1-2 jalapeños, diced
  • 1 teaspoon (5g) garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon (5g) onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Shred cheddar cheese if not pre-shredded and dice jalapeños.
  2. In a medium saucepan, whisk together cream cheese and evaporated milk over medium heat until smooth.
  3. Gradually stir in the shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until melted and creamy.
  4. Fold in the diced green chilies and jalapeños, heating just until warmed through.
  5. Pour the cheese dip into a serving bowl and garnish with fresh cilantro if desired.
